We have developed this website as a source of information for our residents.

WATER/SEWER READINGS & BILLING

February 28 – Water Bill Payment Deadline.

May 31 – Water Bill Payment Deadline.

June 30 – Village Tax Payment Due.

August 31 – Water Bill Payment Deadline.

October 1-10 – Water Meter Readings Due.

November 30 – Water Bill Payment Deadline.

Alternate Street Parking: 

Begins November 1st – ends April 1st

Effective for 24 hours beginning at 5 PM.

“Park For Tomorrow”

Example: on December 1st on or after 5PM

Park your vehicle on the Even Side of the Street. ALL STREETS in the Village will have 24 hour alternate parking

Except the following:

Miller St. (One Way) – Parking on S.West Side Only. Note: No parking on Miller St.  –  Midnight to 7AM

No Parking allowed any time on these listed roads:

Church St.

Old State Road – Chenango to Rt.7.

Beacon St. – between Chenango and Kirkwood Ave.

If a vehicle is parked illegally & poses an immediate problem it will be towed at the owner’s expense (plus storage costs) to expedite safe snow removal with reasonable consideration by the Police Department.

Sanitary Sewer System

To all Village Of Port Dickinson residents in regards to our sanitary sewer system.

Please refrain from placing any material in your toilets other than normal toilet tissue.

Note that any obstructions in your sanitary sewer lines are your responsibility.

Community Development Block Grant: 

The Village of Port Dickinson will hold a public hearing on July 14th, 2026, at 6:00 pm at Port Dickinson Village Hall, 2nd Floor, 786 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY for the purpose of hearing public comments on the Village of Port Dickinson community development needs, and to discuss the possible submission of one or more Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) applications for the 2026 program year. The CDBG program is administered by the New York State Office of Community Renewal (OCR) and will make available to eligible local governments approximately $2,500,000 for the 2026 program year for housing, economic development, public facilities, public infrastructure, and planning activities, with the principal purpose of benefitting low/moderate income persons. The Village of Port Dickinson is applying for up to $1,500,000 for the Chenango Street Water Line Replacement. The hearing will provide further information about the CDBG program, including progress towards beneficiary goals and program objectives, and will allow for citizen participation in the development of any proposed grant applications and/or to provide technical assistance to develop alternate proposals. Comments on the CDBG program or proposed project(s) will be received at this time. The hearing is being conducted pursuant to Section 570.486, Subpart I of the CFR and in compliance with the requirements of the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974, as amended.

 

The Village Hall is accessible to persons with disabilities. If special accommodations are needed for persons with disabilities, those with hearing impairments, or those in need of translation from English, those individuals should contact The Village of Port Dickinson at 607-771-8233 at least three days in advance of the hearing date to allow for necessary arrangements. Written comments may also be submitted Kevin Burke, Mayor, 786 Chenango Street, Binghamton, NY until July 16th, 2026.
